If your question isn’t here, ask us. Understanding your finances should never require guessing.

Streamlined Books LLC provides remote virtual bookkeeping services for small businesses and nonprofit organizations in Sun City, AZ 85351 and the West Valley.
Remote means we are not hired in-house. In this case, virtual bookkeeping is software-assisted service that manages, records, and reconciles a company's day-to-day financial transactions using QuickBooks Online, which is a cloud-based accounting platform.
  • Transaction Recording: Automatically or manually imports and categorizes bank feeds, credit card charges, sales, and vendor expenses.
  • Reconciliation: Matches bank and credit card statements with records inside QuickBooks Online to catch errors, missing receipts, or duplicate entries.
  • Invoicing and Bills: Creates and sends customer invoices, tracks accounts receivable, and manages outgoing vendor payments.
  • Financial Reporting: Generates balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit-and-loss (P&L) reports to show business owners where they stand financially.
  • Payroll & Compliance: Helps process employee payroll, tracks 1099 contractors, and organizes data for tax season.
  • QuickBooks Online: Software service used to manage, record, and reconcile a company's day-to-day financial transactions using a cloud-based accounting platform.
  • Bookkeeping cleanup: The process of making sure past transactions are accurately reflected in the books.
  • Advisory: A service focused on analyzing financial data to help decide what to do next and where the business is going.
  • Fractional CFO: Provides advice on cash-flow management, budgeting and planning, grant tracking, fund accounting, strategic advisory, restricted donations, and processes and compliance.
We work primarily with small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Our services are especially helpful for owners and leaders who want accurate, organized books, clearer financial information, and a better understanding of where their organization stands financially.
Streamlined Books brings more than 40 years of financial and business experience, including CFO-level experience, business management education, and QuickBooks Online certification. That experience helps us look beyond simply entering transactions and understand what the numbers are telling you about the business.
No. We do not prepare income tax returns. Our job is to keep your books accurate, organized, and up to date so your tax professional has the information needed to prepare your return efficiently. We are also happy to work directly with your CPA or tax preparer when needed.
Yes. We can catch up missing transactions, correct inaccurate entries, reconcile bank and credit-card accounts, separate personal and business activity, and organize the books so your financial reports become useful again.
We can review your current system and help determine whether it makes sense to continue using it or move to QuickBooks Online. If a conversion is appropriate, we can help organize the information and plan the transition.
QuickBooks Online makes financial information accessible from almost anywhere and allows business owners and bookkeeping professionals to work from the same set of records. It also provides flexible reporting, bank connections, payroll integration, and ways to analyze activity by customer, job, class, location, or fund when the books are structured properly.
Payroll can include reported tips when the payroll system and employee setup are configured properly. Because tipped payroll can involve additional reporting and tax considerations, we review the payroll setup carefully before processing it.
Yes. We work with nonprofit organizations and understand that nonprofit bookkeeping may require tracking grants, restricted funds, programs, donors, and reporting requirements that differ from traditional small-business bookkeeping.
A business generally focuses on revenue, expenses, profit, and owner equity. A nonprofit may also need to track restricted and unrestricted funds, grants, programs, donor activity, and how money is used for specific purposes. The accounting needs to make those distinctions clear.
Reports can include the Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow reports, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable aging, budget-versus-actual results, and other management reports. Depending on your needs, reports can also be expanded to show results by customer, job, class, program, location, or fund.
That depends on the needs of your business and the services we provide. Most ongoing bookkeeping is updated on a regular monthly schedule, although some businesses may benefit from more frequent attention. We will agree on a schedule with you so you know what to expect and when your financial information will be available.
That is exactly where fractional CFO and advisory services can help. You can get experienced financial guidance for budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, profitability analysis, financial reviews, and business decisions without the expense of hiring a full-time CFO.
We use modern technology where it improves efficiency, but we do not rely on automation blindly. Transactions, reconciliations, and financial information still receive human review. Technology can help us work faster, but accuracy and judgment remain part of the process.
We take the security and confidentiality of your financial information seriously. We use secure, cloud-based systems such as QuickBooks Online, limit access to the information needed to perform our work, and follow careful procedures when handling financial records and account information. We also use a “trust, but verify” approach, reviewing financial entries for accuracy rather than relying entirely on automation.
